This year's edition, held at Expo Reforma in the heart of Mexico City, was a testament to Feria Material's enduring legacy. The event brought together 73 exhibitors from 18 countries and 36 cities, featuring the works of over 200 artists. It was a vibrant tapestry of diverse artistic expressions, spanning painting, sculpture, photography, and multimedia installations.

One of the highlights of the anniversary celebration was the debut of the second generation of Proyectos, Feria Material's unique program supporting independent contemporary art projects in Mexico. Through Proyectos, six organizations from various regions of the country had the opportunity to connect with a global audience, fostering dialogue and collaboration within the art community.

But Feria Material is more than just an art exhibition; it's an immersive experience. Visitors were invited to explore artworks using Docent, a mobile app that provided interactive experiences and detailed insights into each piece. Additionally, attendees had the chance to relax and socialize at the Range Rover Lounge, a luxurious space designed by Ago Projects and featuring hospitality by the renowned Condesa DF hotel.

The event also featured exciting collaborations with leading brands and organizations. Mezcal Amarás showcased a special activation, offering attendees a unique blend of art and mezcal. Hey Banco presented its 2024 Drop, featuring a collection of exclusive cards and a clothing line inspired by artist Cecilia Barreto's designs.

Throughout the anniversary celebration, Feria Material hosted a series of satellite events, including performances, talks, and screenings, further enriching the cultural experience for attendees. From Fragmented States by Carlos Amorales to the thought-provoking Machine Yearning program, these events sparked critical conversations and inspired new perspectives on contemporary art.

As Feria Material looks ahead to the next decade, it remains committed to pushing boundaries and championing creativity. With its unwavering dedication to excellence, Feria Material continues to elevate the contemporary art scene in Latin America and beyond.
